Digivort Marks One Year of Growth: Key Milestones and What's Next

A look back at the past year β€” the products we launched, the partnerships we formed, and the roadmap ahead.

It has been a year since we officially launched Digital Vortex Technologies Limited, trading as Digivort Technologies. What a year it has been.

When we registered on 10 October 2024, we had a clear vision but a lot to prove. Twelve months later, we've built products, earned client trust, and grown a team β€” all while staying true to our founding commitment: delivering technology that actually works for African businesses.

What We've Built

Over the past year, we've developed and launched four flagship products:

  • Vortica OMS β€” Operations Management System for enterprise workflow coordination
  • Edutech School β€” School management platform for Zambian institutions
  • Vortica Peso ESS β€” Employee self-service and payroll management
  • VortiLend Loan System β€” End-to-end lending lifecycle platform

Each of these was built in response to specific gaps we identified in the Zambian market β€” gaps that imported solutions consistently failed to address.

Key Milestones

  • Launched four production-ready software products
  • Onboarded our first anchor enterprise clients
  • Established partnerships with local universities for talent development
  • Built a full operational team across five departments
  • Delivered IT infrastructure projects for clients in logistics and retail

What We Learned

Three lessons stand out from our first year:

  1. Local context matters β€” solutions built for global markets often fail here. The best technology is the one designed around how people actually work.
  2. Support is as important as software β€” no product succeeds without a team behind it that understands the customer's environment.
  3. Talent is our greatest resource β€” the people we bring in and develop will determine what we can achieve.

What's Next

Our roadmap for the coming year focuses on three priorities:

  • Deepen existing products β€” enhancing Vortica OMS, Edutech, and the others based on real user feedback
  • Expand our enterprise footprint β€” moving into larger corporate and government-adjacent projects
  • Grow the team β€” hiring across engineering, sales, and support to match rising demand

We are also exploring regional expansion opportunities in neighbouring markets where similar needs exist.

Thank You

To our clients, partners, and team β€” thank you. The trust you've placed in us is the foundation everything else is built on.

To anyone considering working with us: we're just getting started. If you have a technology challenge that needs solving, get in touch.

Entrepreneurship is rarely a straight line. Our first year had its share of hard lessons β€” but every one of them made us sharper, and every step forward has been earned.
